Obituary of Shelley Mann Pickering

Shelley Mann Pickering, passed away in his loving home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 1, 2023. He was born on October 16, 1964 to parents Allan and Aiko Pickering in Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Shelley graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida and went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Colorado Technical University. 

Shelley bravely and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1984 to 1994 earning the rank of SGT/E-5. He served with E Company 704th Maintenance Support Battalion FORSCOM, Fort Carson Chemical Operations Specialist and Administrative Specialist.  

After being honorably discharged Shelley worked for Peterson Space Force Base for 23 years as an Emergency Management Analyst. 

Preceded in death are parents Allan and Aiko (Hyun) Pickering and nephew Anthony Pickering. 

Surviving are loving wife Ronda F. Pickering, son Correy Q. Pickering, siblings Carol, MSgt Anthony Ret. U.S. Air Force and GySgt Marcellus Pickering Ret. U.S. Marine Corps, nephews Allan and LT. Eric England U.S. Navy and nieces Aiko, Aeja and Kennedy Pickering.

Military services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 12:00PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925 with services being led by Chaplain Tom Buchan and vocals by Narsia Harrison.
