Obituary of Carl E. Shields

On Friday, October 13th, 2023, Carl E. Shields, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 74.

Carl was born to Charles and Mary Shields on June 20th, 1949 in Denver, Colorado. Carl is survived by his partner Shirley Miller, his children, Eyan (LeeAnne) Shields, Angela Shields, Michael (Niki) Shields, and Melissa Shields, his grandchildren Alexandria Nieto, Mason Morgan, Noah (Rebecca) Marquez, Grace Marquez, Corbin Shields, Reese Shields, Lyvianne Miller, Keira Shields, Samuel Miller and his great grandchild Skye Beliveau.

Carl was a retired Public Service (Xcel Energy) electrician and a former volunteer firefighter for Arvada Station #8. Carl was a Vietnam War Veteran, having served our Nation in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed classic Chevrolets, car shows, his grandchildren’s extracurricular events, Vietnam novels, visiting Black Hawk, and turning wrenches in his garage. He was the first person many called or came to visit when they needed a helping hand. Carl is very loved and will be missed.
