Obituary of Gerald B. Klein Jr.

 

Gerald B Klein Jr was born December 5, 1950 in Denver Colorado to Fernand and Gerald B Klein Sr. Gerald was the eldest of 8 children and was a good big brother.  His siblings affectionately called him GB.  His friends knew him as Jerry.   Gerald died unexpectedly on August 8, 2023.  He is survived by his wife – Sue, daughter – Jean, brother – Eric, sisters Audrey Klein (Steve deCsesznak) and Hilarie Watters (Mark), nieces, nephews and grand nieces and two grand nephews.

Gerald graduated from Northglenn High School in 1969 and went on to serve in the 1^st Aviation Brigade in the United States Army in Vietnam. After his military service he worked as a tool & die maker at A. R. Wilfley & Sons, Inc. in Denver for 38 years, retiring in 2012.

He enjoyed black powder shooting; rimfire cowboy silhouette matches, shotgun, trap and skeet shooting. He also enjoyed fishing and archery.  He took long bike rides and enjoyed when he could ride bikes with his sister, Audrey and brother, Arnold. He relished the outdoors.

Gerald was a committed caretaker of his wife and daughter.  We loved him and he will be missed.

He will be interred at Ft. Logan with full military honors.
