Obituary of Isabel Juanita Paiz
Isabel Juanita Paiz (née DeAguero) was born on September 21, 1932, in Denver, Colorado. She was born to a large family and was one of eleven children. From a young age, then, she was surrounded by her loved ones. Like many of her siblings, however, she wasn’t just a child, but, alongside her mother, helped fill the role of caretaker and homemaker; growing up in a large family required a little bit of help from everyone. Isabel carried on these roles of caretaker and homemaker throughout her life, providing love, care, and support for her late husband, Leroy, and the two children they had together, Mark and Renee. Isabel was also a source of continual support for her siblings and extended family; throughout all her life Isabel was always there for family, especially in times of need. The Paiz household was also the central family hub, where brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, grandchildren, and all other manner of family members would gather, whether it was for a quick visit, an extended stay, or one of Isabel’s big, family Christmas parties. While Isabel is and will continue to be greatly missed by her loved ones, she acknowledged before her passing that she had a long, good life. Isabel joined her husband in death on June 19, 2023, and is survived by her sisters Phyllis and Vicky; brother Louie; sister-in-law Diane; son Mark; daughter Renee; son-in-law Chuck; and three grandchildren—Anthony, Justin, and Angela. She is, and will forever be, loved by all.
A small family service will be held for Isabel at 10a.m. on Thursday, July 13 at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
