Obituary of Charlene Conner Thomas

Charlene Conner Thomas, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 30, 2023, at her home in Denver, CO. Charlene was born on March 19, 1951, in Denver, CO to Air Force Staff Sargent Joseph and Lorraine (Cox) Conner. She is preceded in death by her father and is survived by her husband Paris; children Robert, Chris, Charla and stepsons, Clinton and Matthew; grandchildren Connor, Wyatt, Isabella, Joey and Layla; Mother, Lorraine; brothers, Paul and Joe; sisters-in-law Janie and Cindy; her faithful dog, Yoda; and many, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Char married her soulmate, Paris Thomas, on June 19, 1999, in Fort Collins, CO. Char was the most loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for many years where she truly enjoyed working with numbers and retired in 2015 from the State of Colorado Attorney Regulations Office. Char truly lived life to the fullest through helping others and enjoying the simplest of pleasures: camping, fishing, scratch tickets, bingo, gardening, sewing, craft making and of course cooking for a house full of family and friends just to name a few. Char was always there for her family when they needed anything and was very much the fabric that wove it. More things were talked about, laughed about, and problems solved standing around her kitchen island with good comfort food, drink, and sage wisdom. Char truly was the happiest when people left her house with a full heart, full belly, and leftovers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 10th, 2023, at 2pm at Redemption Church of Denver, 4345 W. 46th Ave., Denver, CO, 80212. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Char’s honor to Denver Dumb Friends League.
