Obituary of Craig William Pickel

Craig William Pickel, 67, passed away on April 28, 2023, unexpectedly from a heart attack. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all that knew him.

Craig is survived by his wife and best friend, Mikki, His Children Stephen, Ashley, Taelor, Joshua, Dylan, Laura and Cherokee, 12 Grandchildren, two sisters Delane and Devon. Craig is preceded in death by his Mother Eileen Pickel Nyburg, Father Creel Pickel and Daughter Destinee. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be dearly missed.

Craig put his whole life into Faith and family. Everyone in the family knew that he was just a phone call away, literally his phone never stopped ringing. But he would have had it no other way. He loved giving advice, sharing his knowledge, and helping in any way that he could. However, if you asked for advice, you had better listen and utilize the advice he gave or he would use his famous saying, “what’s my middle name”. Yes, Craigs AKA is Craig (I Told You So) Pickel.

Craig had a passionate love affair with sports, whether that was coaching, officiating or playing sports himself. He also loved dancing, so much that he was known to break out in dance like someone straight out of a flash mob. Craig had an enchanting sense of humor and was always making others laugh with his witty remarks, funny stories, or silly antics.

Craigs spare time was spent feeding his addictions to shopping, garage sales, Facebook and computer games. Garage sale to follow his services in his memory.
