Carol is also survived by her son James. During their many visits this year, her face lit up every time he walked into the room. The talks they shared had a magic quality that is rarely shared between individuals. Carol shared many stories about James, from making him costumes, to cooking him food, to acknowledging how much she loved his smile. Carol and James shared a parent-child bond that most will not experience, and she will be greatly missed.
