I did not know Lyn well; I had only just met her at a week-long group trip to Bethany Beach, DE in 2019. In the group of 10, I only knew one of the ladies: Susan Mitchell, the organizer of the trip. Lyn and Susan were Best Friends Forever from school days; I am a parent of a 2005 HS student of Susan's. This was how I met Lyn. At first, I was concerned about how this trip would go---living for a week with 8 others I did not know. It became quickly apparent my concerns were totally unwarranted. It was a delightful week. Part of that delight was Lyn's warm smile and sense of humor. I laughed the entire week. In 2020, the trip was cancelled due to the Pandemic. In 2021, I was not able to join in the beach fun. I am looking forward to our 2022 trip this August and will be saddened by Lyn's absence. I am certain I speak for all the beach ladies--Lyn will be sorely missed. My condolences to Lyn's family and friends in hopes your warm memories help to fill the void. Here's to laughing, Lyn. Marty Gorin

Lyn will be missed by so many people. She was always upbeat and had a great laugh. We met Lyn and John in the 1980’s in Tampa and have been friends ever since. We were thrilled when we heard they would be making their home in Colorado. I will miss discussing books and movies with her. Art and I will also miss skiing in Steamboat with her and John. We have so many fond memories, and it is hard to believe we won’t be making more in the years to come. We send our condolences and love to John, Adam, and Daniel and the rest of her family. John, I am very sorry for the loss of your wife Lyn. Charlotte and her were good friends and loved to talk. Since Charlotte passed away in December I know the emotions you are going through. It is extremely tough to handle. I cry every day but am progressing one day at a time. Your mind will be filled with the million things you have to do along with many unexpected decisions. If you need a shoulder I’m right down the street. Good luck.

If so, and you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley SFB at 720-847-6693.
