Donna Kay Albershardt was born on November 25, 1940, in Denver, Colorado to Andrew and Zola Smaldone.
Donna grew up in north Denver, graduated from North High School, class of 1957. Donna shared memories of working in Downtown Denver, but favored her work at the Lakeside Mall Skaggs drug store. She always talked about working for Mr. Jensen, who was the manager of Skaggs. The office was situated on a mezzanine that overlooked the entire sales floor.
Donna was married to Roy Lee Albershardt for 53 years, before Roy passed away in 2014. Donna is survived by her son Tom Albershardt and daughter Zoe Kelly, grandsons: Tommy, Kyle, Collin, Michael and three great grandchildren: Payton, Ashlynn, and Graydon.
Donna loved to laugh and had a self-deprecating sense of humor as well. Donna also loved the Broncos, Coca-Cola, and Fox News.
