Glen Cahill passed away peacefully in November 2021 at the age of 90. Glen was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He had a successful career as a senior marketing executive.
Glen was born in Ohio to Roy and Kathryn Cahill. He had an older brother, Richard, who preceded Glen in death in 1999. Following high school Glen served as a military training instructor in the U.S. Air Force for four years in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Glen loved the mountains and sunny blue skies of the west, and worked hard to move back one day.
Glen graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In 1958 he married the love of his life Louise. They were destined to be together having known each other since the fifth grade, and would spend the next 63 years together. Glen moved his family, including sons Glen Jr. and John, from Ohio to the town of Bow Mar near Denver in 1966 where he continued his career until his retirement in the mid-1990s.
After moving to Colorado Glen and Louise became active in the family-oriented community where they lived for fifty years, enjoying tennis, golf, swimming, Bible studies and many friends.
For decades Glen and Louise were avid golfers at Pinehurst Country Club. He was happiest being with family, including their many dogs. He enjoyed taking care of the landscape, often seen cutting the grass on his John Deere riding mower. He especially liked going out for breakfast with the guys.
Glen is survived by his wife, Louise; his two sons Glen Cahill Jr. (Betty) of Denver and John Cahill (Tammy) of Longmont; two grandchildren, Maxwell Cahill and Rachel Cahill.
Burial with Military Honors will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
