On Monday, December 23, 2019, Lonny Lee Elliott, loving husband and father of three children, and grandfather of four grandsons passed away in his home at age 78.
Lonny was born on July 8th, 1941 in Sterling, Kansas to Chet and Reta Elliott. They raised one son, Greg, and two daughters, Lisa and Melissa.
Lonny had a passion for farming, gardening and coordinated a large, annual golf tournament to raise money for Wounded Warriors. He was especially proud of his four grandsons; and loved to take them out for lunch. Lonny was a long-time member of the Sterling Methodist Church.
Lonny was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Nancy Ricker and Becky Ruccius; and children, Greg Elliott and Melissa Crabtree. He is survived by his wife Sherry Elliott, his daughter, Lisa Balogh, his grandsons Joshua and Ryan Borgen, Clayton and Nathan Crabtree, daughter in law Lorie Reilly (all from Colorado Springs), his sister Kathy Leslie (Fort Scott, KS) , and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
